Using OwlVault

OwlVault is a vocabulary app for anyone learning English. Families come first. Curious adults, English learners, and students, including those preparing for 11+, can use it too. One word at a time, for curious minds.

Accounts

You need an account to look up words and keep a wordbook. A family account is one parent account for the children on it (up to 4). An individual account is for one learner. You can also use OwlVault on your own. Keep your password private.

Trial and plans

New accounts start with a 7-day free trial, or 30 new-word lookups, whichever comes first. A lookup counts only when a new definition is generated for that learner's age band. Repeats and words already generated for that age are free. No credit card is required to start. You can cancel anytime. After the trial you can still read your saved words. Lookups, new saves, and quizzes need a plan. Choose an Individual or Family plan. The price is shown before you pay. Payments are taken by Stripe.

Your wordbook

Words you look up and save stay on that account. A child's wordbook is not mixed with a parent's, or with a sibling's.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse OwlVault, try to break into another account, or use the service to harm someone. We may suspend an account that does.

Privacy

The privacy policy explains what we collect and why, including optional analytics cookies.
